Position Summary:
- The Security Officer is responsible for the overall security of guests, employees, volunteers and facility assets.
Essential Functions:
- Welcomes guests
- Protects guests, employees, volunteers and facility assets in assigned area
- Enforces all house policies and AGLC Terms and Conditions
- Enforces restriction of minors, liquor provisions and service
- Manages crowd control
- Provides assistance gaming employees in monitoring suspicious activities
- Records activities in Security Log; writes discrepancy reports
- Reports all incidences to the Security/Surveillance Manager
- Responds and resolves issues and escalates as required
- Manages other initiatives or duties as required
Qualifications:
- Grade 10 education or suitable combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Minimum 1 years of security experience preferred: ASIP an asset; First Aid level 1 or 2
- Experience in casino gaming disciplines, CCTV equipment and monitoring systems preferred; hotel security experience
- First Nations experience an asset
- Other languages an asset
- Criminal Record Clearance **mandatory
