Position Summary:

• Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino - DEALER CAREER FAIR...Are you interested in joining the fast paced and exciting casino industry as a Dealer? Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino offers free Blackjack training to qualified candidates.
• Please note: Minimum 75% passing grade required on Math test to be eligible for training
• Training Qualifications include: Outstanding customer service, presentation and communication skills, Manual dexterity, Aptitude for numbers, Solid work history, Clean criminal record
• The Dealer is responsible for dealing cards to guests in accordance with AGLC Terms and Conditions while providing outstanding guest service excellence.
• If hired after successful course completion and AGLC licensing, the hourly rate is $11.00 plus tips, free meals, free uniforms, free parking, free shuttle service to and from Canmore, Morley, Cochrane and more! Hours of work will vary but are mainly afternoons until close; we are open 7 days per week. Training will start Monday, August 30th, 2010; Mondays through Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and runs for 2 weeks.

• Training will include Essential Functions as outlined below:

Essential Functions:

• Welcomes guests to the table
• Deals cards as per AGLC Terms and Conditions
• Provides outstanding guest service excellence
• Responds to guest issues and escalates as required
• Monitors chips and cash
• Ensures the integrity of the game
• Observes problematic gaming guest behavior and reports to the Pit Supervisor
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Grade 10 education or suitable combination of education and experience
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• Minimum 12 months work experience; dealing experience an asset
• First Nations experience an asset
• Other languages an asset
• Criminal Record Clearance mandatory
